The City of Tallahassee and Leon County invite all interested non-profit human service organizations to participate in the 2026/2027 - 2027/2028 funding cycle of the Community Human Service Partnership (CHSP) grant process. To apply for funding, the organization must provide direct human services to residents of the Tallahassee/Leon County area.

Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition, Inc.

The goal of the Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition (CAHSC) is to improve pregnancy outcomes, reduce infant mortality, reduce the number of low birth weight babies, and improve the health of pregnant women, infants, and families in our community. CAHSC has three programs under our umbrella that provide direct services to pregnant women, infants from birth until their 3rd birthday, and families in Leon County. Healthy Start also works with the general community with programs and initiatives

Girls on the Run of the Big Bend, Inc.

Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. The program targets girls 3rd-8th grade to build self-esteem and healthy lifestyles. During the 8 week season, certified coaches help girls learn life skills and train for a celebratory 5K. To date, Girls on the Run of the Big Bend has served over 5000 girls since 2014 and engaged over 1000 volunteers as coaches, running buddies,5K volunteers, and more.

Capital City Youth Services, Inc.

CCYS provides intervention and prevention services to runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth and families.
